Feed The Neighborhood
FEED THE NEIGHBORHOOD 2019
DATE: AUGUST 11, 2019
LOCATION: STRIDE BANK CENTER & DAVID ALLEN MEMORIAL BALLPARK
Feed the Neighborhood has been held each year on the second Sunday of August for 19 years. It is an event that is geared toward helping elementary students and their families in the area prepare for the coming school year. Each year we give out 2,000 backpacks and school supply packs, 2,000 sock, shoe, and underwear vouchers, and provide food and entertainment for the whole family. This years event will be on Sunday, August 11, 2019 from 5pm-8pm at the Stride Bank Center and David Allen Memorial Ballpark in Enid, Oklahoma.
"Feed the Neighborhood is an amazing example of businesses, churches and individuals coming together to make a difference for others. Thanks to the donors and volunteers, students begin the first day of school with the items they need. It helps them feel confident and ready to learn when they enter the classroom. There's no worry about pencils, paper or other supplies, and it sets the tone for a successful year. The Enid Public Schools family is grateful to Feed the Neighborhood partners for their generosity and kindness.
